I'm confused..... Are you asking if it will be better than stock?? Or are you asking if just a silencer will help?

Did ya reread your question bud??

I think he's asking, will the FMF silencer on a 250r with a stock pipe have any power/preformance gain over the stock 250r silencer.

I'd have to say no to that, but manufacturer's claim that with, lets just say a... DG pipe, If you use it in combination with the DG type II silencer the pipe will preform better than if you had a setup of a DG pipe and a stock silencer. IMO an aftermarket silencer wont do a whole lot of nothing unless combined with other mod's, It might make your bike look nicer though.

An aftermarket pipe is probably your best bet to a preformance gain, and along with that you will most likely need to re-jet to make the most power out of it. A new silencer isn't really a preformance upgrade, it's more so you have to option to repack and reuse the silencer over and over. Some are even shiny ;) :Bounce :Bounce :Bounce
