Anyone know if a 90 axle will swap in and make it wider?
What about different hubs? Liquid 250R? Then you could use wider offset wheels to gain width?

250x/300ex hubs fit a stock 70 axle that whats on mine and adds a coupleof inches, 83/85 200x fit but no width gained, this will also give you a 4/110 rear bolt pattern, as for the 90 axle...well thats on my list of things to try, I have an axle setup of a US and an ATC 90 but haven't got to that yet, maybe Sunday

I think the liquid 250r hubs have a different spline set up than all the other honda hubs.

The EX hubs would be all thats needed but if the 90 axle will fit then thats even better.
Stock rims are 6 inch or 8?
Blue27, when you unveiling what you have going on with that 70? lol

stock 70 rims are 7 inch, but you can get aftermarket 8 in wheels
as for my 70 I have started work on it again and also on a pitbike frame to a trike for a friend. I hope to have mine in paint in the next week or so.

Now, what about Kart wheels?? Shifter kart I mean.
The hubs clamp on the axle and let you run the tiny wheels and tires. They make wheel spacers for them as well but I figure the right axle and offset wheel would more then cover the width issue.
Sure would be fun!

Jeez, like a tiny flat-track 70? That'd be cool!

I know for a fact that the 90 axle will not fit in the 70's carrier. THat is if you use the 70's bearings. I believe that the 70 and 90's carriers are the same diameter but the bearings are different sizes. So if you put the 90 bearings in the 70 carrier i believe it will work. you could also swap in the 90 carrier but that is a bit more indepth as you have to cut the 70's carrier out and weld in the 90 carrier. Hope that helped witout confusing anyone.

Ok cool. I think the EX hubs would make it wide enough, maybe even use billet G-force extended hubs if you want a real wide one.
The Kart tires and wheels that mount directly to the axle are what I'm after though.

I know you can get kart rims in the 3x100 bolt pattern if you wanted to go with the old honda hubs. Not sure if you can get the kart rims in the 4x110 though.

I was wondering that even if the 90 axle fit how is the alignment of the rear sprocket. Also which 90 axle, I hope your talking about the regular atc90 axle and not the us90 axle. Even though the us90 axle is sleeved just like the atc70, I would not want to use it, to many pieces and too heavy and klunky. I wish I had some different bearing laying around, I would check it out for myself.

The 90 carrier is a perfect fit in the late model 70 frames. Use a hole saw to cut out the 70 carrier. There is a couple of brake plates you have to remove by drilling the spot welds. Slide the 90/110 carrier into place and drill the 3 holes each side for the carrier bolts. Chain allignment is perfect, 2" per side wider and bearings which will last for years.

Yup I was speaking about the regular atc axle. Great info about the wheels. That will certainly be the route I take.
You can use 70 hubs on the 90 axle correct?
Greenhuman, sweet info! Appreciate it.

Sure, but the early or should I say 1975-1980 at least ran with the 3x100 bolt pattern on the atc90 and early atc110, same as the atc70 bolt pattern.

Hey blue, did you ever check and see if the atc90 rear bearings fit in the atc70 bearing carrier. I was kind of curious how it turned out.
