My tecate doesn't even have the bottle anymore.
I might be interested in one to, otherwise I'm going to look for an alternative of another bike or quad that fits.

Or just leave it without the reservoir, would it hurth ?

scoot - this has come up a few times before. Nothing ever results from it.

I think aussies techiques might be an issue due to vacuum forming and bringing the center seam together. Also might be an issue with heat - as this is prone to high heat in that area.

There is just not enough 86-87 tecate guys to show enough interest to have it made -IMO

I would love to see one produced and would buy one - but i just dont see it happening for the 5-10 owners on here.

You could buy a coolant catch can for like $20 and strap it to the frame there. Finding that right size might take some time.

I too would be interested in buying one, however I hadn't thought of trying an automotive style catch can. Looks like it would be pretty trick.

Scoot - I too am interested in getting this thing reproduced, so maybe I should take the initiative and do the investigation. The problem is, I can not find a complete tank to do it with. Do you have the piece that is broken out? I have access to have the part scanned and made into a 3-D model. The problem is, the piece you are missing has the MIN and MAX lines, so we would be missing that data. From the 3D model, I have a blow molding supplier I could work with to do prototype parts. The mold could be made out of resin to get 10-20 shots off of it, or it could be made out of aluminum and get a couple hundred shots off of it. Obviously the cost for the die goes up dramatically, but so does the accuaracy. I would be willing to investigate it a little bit more, but if we were to do it, I really need someone that can loan out their original tank to have it scanned. Let me know what you guys think...it could end up being costly, but completely doable and would look just like the original.

I would buy one if someone got them reproduced. mdunn could you get a ballpark price on the resin mold? I wish I could help in some way but mine is completely missing hoses and all.

I have a NOS overflow on my 87. I have a OK 1 on my 86, it has a melt on top but could be used to make a mold. I would loan out my NOS, but it would have to be to a shop. Not that i don't trust people but it is a hard part to find.

I will try to get a ball park on how much this would cost. Obviously, I will not invest much time in it if cost is too high or demand it too low. I will talk to an injection molding supplier on Monday for the fun of it. MIK6. I completely understand your feeling about loaning out your tank. The reason I was asking, is becuase I probably can have all the scanning and everythign done where I work and I have the capability to take that data and make it into an accurate 3D model to have the tool made. If I do that kind of stuff "in house" it will reduce the cost of the overall project. Anyway, let me investigate a little more.
