Looks really clean man, good deal. Did you pull the plug see how it looked? Mabey your flooding it out? Or the plug is bad?

Get a new plug. The day I got my 200x the same thing was happening and I checked over everything multiple times and found nothing. Then I replaced the plug and it ran awesome.

Are you sure it has spark . Mabe the stator is bad . sometimes it has spark and it will start and run for a min and then it will die and wont fire back up . Thats when you want to make sure it still has spark. It could be the timing mark is off or the pick up on the fly wheel dosent match the stator . It will run but kick back like a mfer and run like crap. I had all of these issues.

it kicks back like a mo fo so change the stator with the 1 in the pick?

You could but you need to know what flywheel your useing. If its a ricky with a ricky stator you should be good there. If not , say u have a ricky stator and a oem flywheel it may not work. I had 2 tecates and took out the flywheel and stators .they were different flywheels and I got the stators mixed up and it was doing something like what your saying . the pick up was off . Once I figured that out I was a ok.

Maybe the exhaust is plugged-up. Dirt dobbers or mice coulda built something in the pipe. Did you look at the pipe? Take the headpipe and silencer off, seperate them and run water through the headpipe. Look inside the silencer, should be straight through, easy to see through.

Just a thought. Chris

do you need a puller to pull the flywheel off on this thing? i think the timing's messed up because i just wentand started my 350x and it was way easyer to kick over than this and it just dont feel right

Could be timing or the stator - Tecates stators seem to be a part that fails. Just an Ohmm meter can test that. I wouldn't be so dead set on changing the carb, did you remove every jet? Are you certain there is no intake leak where it bolts to the carb or where the carb bolts on??

Yep, you need a puller....

yeah check the boot, is it dry rotted and cracked? plyer grip is an easy fix for that.

Take the fly wheel off . Yes you need a puller. Mabe you sheered the key way.

Timing is too advanced if its kicking you back.

Fix that first.

Float height should be 17mm.

Is that gas tank painted?

I had a lot of trouble with the flywheel shearing the key right off. That allows the flywheel to move. I knew the timing was off because I had my wife pull me and when the engine would fire, the wheels stopped. It was way advanced. DO NOT HIT THE FLYWHEEL WITH A HAMMER!!!!! You will break the magnets off very easily. I bet when you get the flywheel figured it will run like a raped ape.
