needing some advise with my 1980 Honda 185, it has a descent spark, but it is turning over, but not wanting to start. checked all connections along the wiring harness and still no dice. Wondering if the carb. needs adjustment or not? or is something else wrong.
thanks for the help!

:welcome: check the compression, valves, timing, see if its getting fuel, clean and try adjusting the carb. make sure the exhaust and air filter are not restricted. if the gas is old, drain it and put new gas in the tank. make sure your turning over the engine fast enough. change the spark plug? next time post trike related stuff in the trikesylvania forum.

First of all, did it run before? Next, have you tried putting in some carb cleaner in the jug, replacing the spark plug (how dirty is it?) and trying again? If it runs and you know the bowl is full then the carb needs cleaning. What do you have as far as compression in PSI? Also, can you post a video of it trying to start?http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g257/3_weelin_geezer/th_Copyoftrikeride.jpg (http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g257/3_weelin_geezer/?action=view&current=Copyoftrikeride.flv)

Thanks for all the idea and possible solution to my problem, yes it did run before, and then we let is set for about a week and now it won't run. the compression is good, new spark plug, drained the bowl in the carb, and fresh gas.
