Ok I finally bought the cdi and the wiring harness for the ytm 125, wired it all up and fired her up. Carb still needs to be adjusted (idols) but i will do that later. What my problem is that when I put into gear it won't move while it's running( even if i push it, it won't move). But when i have the motor turned off and put it into gear the the gears will turn over the motor. When the trike runs the idols will start to increase(pretty sure all the seals are good) probably a carb issue. Please help!

It sounds like the clutch either needs adusting or is bad.

I don't know much about the 125's. I havent owned any under a 200,
But look for a nut on a slotted bolt on the clutch side of the engine,
if there is one loosen the nut and take a flat head and and rotate the
slotted bolt counter clockwise until you feel tension then go clockwise
one turn or two hope this help's! Good luck.

Oh i see what you r talking about i just took the crankcase oil plate and saw where i can adjust it.But this is not the problem it is inernal.I bought it off a guy and he said the guy who owned it befor him sent it to the shop to do a complete rebuild and they did, i think the screwed up the re-assembling of the gearing or something else inside the case because when i turn the gear backwards it sounds like something is either broke or loose. I came up with a remedy, it was to use another bottom end i had.I'm almost done transplanting most of the parts to the new bottom end and i will see if it will fire on sat.

Ok i did put the different bottom end on( solved transmission problems) but when i pull it slownly(recoil) turning over the motor i hear this clanging inside the motor lol. I don't think this is normal but i hear it in my other ytm 125 and ytm 175.Does anyone have an idea of what the internal clanging is?

Ok i got the ytm to run today(found out the clanging was just the rocker arm hitting the bottom end,no biggie if i keep the rpms up( it will stop hitting) also took it around for a spin .It was a little sluggish compared to my ytm 175 but it's all good.A $180 for a running machine you can't get much lol.
