From what I have found the stock Tri-Z tank's fuel capacity is 2.2 and the Zinger is 1.06. I'm looking to build a big bore motor but was wondering how long you can run with a stock capacity tank. I was thinking about switching to the Zinger tank but with such a low capacity I was thinking it would only be good for drags. Any thoughts on this would be great.

I have no idea why so many people switch to the top mounted Zinger tank. You run out of fuel a lot quicker and in my opinion it is not woth the hassle. Unless you plan to stay on a race track, I see no reason to make the switch.

Exactly. Bryan Raffa has a top mount on his 490Z and gets 3-5 runs on it depending on what fuel he runs

My 250 with a Klem Tank was a pain in the ass to deal with. There was no reserve either. That turned me off al together on those top mounted fuel tanks. Other then the racers I hope to biuld when I return, I am staying away from top mounted Z tanks.

On a race trike, they are a great mod to have. But you could not pay me to run a top mounted tank a trail Z. The wieght in the rear adds to the stability and make getting over obsticles easier.
