well cant find anything at the momment; basicaly you have to start with a heavy grit, like a 180 or so .then work down to 1500 or so. (be sure to use water with a small amout of dish washing soap dawn etc for the 1000 or 1500) then when you get through with all that use a metal polish (flitz or whatever) and a buffing wheel dremel works good , but not to fast. then clean it. I didnt want to go through with all that on my 185s, so I just used a metal polish called never dull by eagle one(Same stuff I used to clean my truck rims with) it works great for dull parts. One thing very important to remember anodized parts can not be polished, they have to be stripped of that coating.

if it is rough use 180... i would start with 220 or 320 wet sanding with the dawn or whatever.

also, if you have a die grinder it works better than the dremel unless you are getting in small places. the dremel bits are cheap and fall apart. use a 2" and 3" roloc pad with the fine green scrubbie on it - and use a wire wheel in the grinder. the roloc polishes like crazy then you can get back on it with some fine wet sand buff or polish..

wear saftey glasses - the grinder throws wires

Get ahold of Bryan Raffa. He does it during the winter months i believe. Great looking work to! I use a guy that sells polished parts on ebay. I dont waste the time, because i dont have all the means.

LOL I "polished" my 110 engine using a 1 horsepower angle grinder with a wire wheel attachment. Also useful for getting rust off of 25 year old chains!

its acutally easier if you leave the bottom end together... if your splitting the cases then polish it after you get it back together
