Hi guys, I'm new to this site, and from what i've seen, this is my kind of site :)
I have an 84 atc 200s that has been giving me some grief. When it has spark it is yellow and mild compared to the blue explosions i've seen from other vehicles. Sometimes it doesn't have any spark, it seems to come and go on it's own accord. When i'm running it hard and pull the plug it has that nice tan color but when i'm just cruising around it fouls with carbon. It also misses a little bit when idling or at low revs.
I've put in a new stator coil, ignition coil and rebuilt the carb. When I pull the cord it has 30 VAC coming from the stator, 0.1 VAC from the pulse generator, and 5-10 VDC from the CDI, are these numbers ok? I've also tested the coils and they check out fine. The carb was just rebuilt so i dont think that's the problem and the plug is tan when it's being really driven, but carbons up when cruising/idling. If i turn the pilot screw out that give it more gas, and if i turn it in that makes it more lean right?
This really has be baffled, any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.
