 Well its official, ive completely lost my mind and got myself a 70. Its a 85 model, needs a little work. It has good spark and compression, so i hooked up a portable fuel cell and got it started, it runs and idles good, but once you put a load on it, it starts to pop and fart and loses all power, bad valve maybee? I cleaned the carb out (it was pretty clean to begin with) Other problems are, no seat, fuel tank is junk, grab bar, axle bearings, brake shoes and it has no air filter. What do these little monsters have for an air filter, a pod, or is there some sort of air box that its missing?

congrats on the 70! I have a few here that I'm fixing up. They have an air box. It's like a small coffee can on its side with two end caps. The boot to the carb has a lip on it that fits inside the hole in the "can". I'd post a picture but "Rainbow Girlie" has the camera today.
The 70 I'm working on now runs crappy also. I'm freshening up the top end, valves too, hopefully that will straighten her out. Have fun with it!
I got an airbox for ya with filter! I'll take $10 shipped! for the whole dealio!

I would check out the point adjustment. They tend to close up with wear and weaken the spark at the top end. Not the easiest to do though. Have to work through the pull start pulley after removing the rope starter mechanism. Been awhile since I worked on it. Sold it a couple of yrs ago.

Welcome to the 70 CRAZE!!! You won't go back.
Check the points, I have linked a online manual from an all ATC70 Forum.

Seats that all rusted out are hard to find. Atleast you have the start another item that brings money.
Also here is a parts website to check out.
