Be sure to re-tighten every single nut and bolt possible! I just found literally every bolt on my trike loose after my first ride upon completing a tear down.

I'm sure this is a no brainer for most here but I figured what the hell.

dont feal bad, I double checked everythin on my rag,, and then last sat at the race I lost a motor mount/rear brake lever, and to engine mount bolts backed out, hell 2 more laps and my motor may have pop'ed out and passed me! I got some flak from my tuner from it lol!!

ha everytime I ride with atc-eric he has to re assemble his entire Z in the middle of the ride:lol: that bike has rattled every single nut and bolt loose even though eric locktite'd the hell out of it every single time

I also locktite'd every single nut and bolt.

Maybe move up from the blue to the red locktite (I think it red).

Yeah the Red loc-tite is the heavy duty stuff. What I don't understand is how that stuff even works. I remember I applied some red loc-tite to a bolt, threaded a nut on it, waited for it to cure, and then loosened it, just to see how hard it would be. Honestly, it wasn't very hard at all... I've heard stories of people snapping bolt heads off because of loc-tite, what's the deal?!

Good question! Hopefully someone will chime in here. I have also wondered that and have done a similar test myself and came up with the same results.

I'm wondering if maybe the bolts and nuts need to me extremely clean prior to applying locktite... I have always just slobbered her on and called it good...

The red is fairly permanent. If you know it's on a bolt, you should heat it up before cracking it loose.

I use Red Loc tite all the time on everything ... never had a problem removing any bolt !
