They wont make a mold for just 10 sets i can garantee that,i have the molds for air cooled tank shrouds ive been making them for nearly 2 years, see attached these are white plastic not painted.Seriously it would be cheaper to get a fibreglass guy to make you some molds then remake them IN carbon fibre.

Yaeh and dont be misled in my other post.As far as I know,They do not make the
2nd gen shrouds. They want 1000 bucks up front at least to make a mold.So the price would be very high.
As far as the Tri-z stuff,We may have them make the headlight and radiator shroud, and airbox cover molds. That is a Big IF,,,we get the financial backing.
This TRi-z order would be somewhere around the $4000 to $6000 mark.

YIKES!!! That's a scary number for sure. Is that just for the cost of them to reproduce the molds or the cost of both the molds and the product? (with a minimum order for each item)

Another option may be to contact that ebay memeber that's selling the green raceplates. Perhaps he has the desire (or whatever you want to call it) to give those Z shrouds, headlight, and airbox covers a shot. Perhaps he has a diffrent setup than our austrailian freind. :wondering

Tony already has pretty damn nice molds, its just he does not have access to the same type of plastic materials as Maier.

Where the heck is that dude getting the colored plastics from then? :wondering

I have (well had thanks to my lunatic neighbor) an aussieduner raceplate and triz shrouds. The shrouds started to crack at the mounting points after only a short time though. I think a few rubber grommets will cure this on my next set. I'm gonna sound like the bad guy here.. But I think the more folks intrested in making these parts for us the better off we will be.

Isn't that guy hornet something or other also capable of making plastic pieces?

second gen, is that the 83 -84 r's? Because I would seriously be up for a set of carbon fiber shrouds!!! I need new ones for my build up and want black so carbon fiber would be perfect!!

Yes listen to the man, they are nuts on cost. I called about the possibility for tri-z shrouds, thy said $80 a piece plus anywhere from $800-$1100.
