I just bought a used PWK 39mm Airstryker carb and it has 2 wires and connectors that are hooked into it. I want to use this on my 86 Tecate but don't know what the electronics are. Does anybody have any carb knowlege that can point me in the right direction?

I would be pretty certain in saying a tps plug. Did it come off a late model CR?

Can I take this off? Can I use this with the Tecate? Is this thing worthless to me and do I need to sell it? Any help is appreciated!

Pretty sure you just leave it unplugged and Jet as you normally would. It originally served as a way for timing curve to be advanced or retarded based on engine load and rpm. Shouldn't pose a problem for you. I've never personally used that set up, but remember reading about it in motocross mags where they disabled it. Almost positive it has no direct effect on jetting.

I had one of those from a cr250, just leave it unplugged like tecat-z said. Worked fine.

OK I am starting on putting this PWK 39 on the 86 tecate. The guy sent me several jets and several slow jets. It has nothing in it, so i am trying to decide what to start with. What do you guys with PWK 39 carbs run for a starting point. I will be running open air filter and DG pipe.
