Picked it up in '03 for free and have been buying parts here and there and decided to fix er up. Didn't want to just run it in the ground since it is fairly rare.

Yes it's an 86 125M. As I mentioned I got it in 03. The plastics were trashed. I since obtained two sets as I was going to have one set for riding and one for just keeping it nice. Ended up selling the second set. The front fender was broke so I had an 84 style rigged on it for awhile. Never ever saw a front fender in all my searching on e-bay. A couple years back I saw what was advertised as a NOS 185 front fender. Well I knew it was an 86-87 125M fender but was broke at the time so I just watched it and payed attention to who won it. I contacted them and told them I believed it was not a 185 fender. They said no it's not and I asked to buy it from them and got it that way. I contacted Maier and asked about aftermarket and they told me there were not enough of the 86-87's to warrant producing them. I was looking for a trunklid forever and finally found an NOS through a discounter and ordered it for $15.94. They said it was the only one in the warehouse. Still waiting on it. Hope the computer was right and they actually have one. Still in need of skid plate and right perch. Working on rear end right now. Rod

I just sold some stuff on e-bay. Will be listing more soon. Do not have any fenders left and you will pay hell trying to find a front one. I will get a list together of what I will have.

I am e-baying this once completed. I'll let you know when it goes on. I am a rider and don't want this to get trashed since it is one of the more rare ones. I played hell finding parts and don't want to go through that again. I hope it will go to someone who is more of a collector to add it to a collection. It could use a couple things to make it more perfect but it will be pretty damn nice the way it is. I did not disassemble the motor at all since all is well there. The parts for the engine are fairly easy to get right now if someone wanted to rebuild that just to increase it's appeal. I also masked off the emblems and they could be replaced if someone were to want to. Only one missing will be trunk lid one. If anyone here has an interest i will get in more detail on what exactly it needs to be more OEM.
