Hi there guys...
I've search the forums but I didn't find the answer to my question.
Is it possible to change the rod bearings on my 86R?
Are those available?
I'm not looking to replace the hole thing, just the bearings, if possible.:wondering
Any help is apreciated.
Thanks in advance,
TORKER.

BigRedRunner, are you refering to the cranckshaft bearings or the rod bearings?

It's the plural that threw me. I saw bearings and immediately thought of the case bearings for the crank. The small end bearing of the rod is no biggie. Normally, you would buy a connecting rod kit that would get you a big end bearing, crank pin, and a rod.
As a side note, I could not locate the right countershaft bearing for my 200x or balance shaft bearing for my 250R. I simply got the numbers that were stamped right on the bearings and located what I needed in town.
I am almost positive that Wiesco can get you just the big end bearing and thrust washers.
Really for a few bucks more though,You might want to consider a whole new rod kit.

I think you can through honda, atleast you can for a cr500, had to get it all piece by piece because nobody made an aftermarket for the 85, it was expensive. Like moshman said, better off buying the whole kit.
