View Full Version : tri-z radiator problem?

So i beleive this is from the clutch cable rubbing on my radiator for so long it has worn through not bad just a pin hole! kinda know where i can find one but any way to repair this one the fins are in great shape and she runs cool! just wondering if anybody knows?

any decent radiator shops around? They should be able to fix it no problem and probably won't cost much

jb weld, i welded my sts's rad 3 years ago and the new owner (my friend) still hasent had a prob with it

Yep, thats exactly what happened. My 86 z's clutch cable was beginning to do the same thing. Caught it before it went through though. Put a small bead of GOOP adhesive in that area so now it rides against the pliable adhesive. Did this at least 4 years ago and have never had a prob.

Yah, happened to me as well. Took off the rad, cleaned it fully and used JB weld and never had another problem on my old spare 86
