Im pretty sure that bike was owned by a member here on 3ww, im not sure who but i think hes from new york and is big into the ice racing, and from what i recall its an 86 and was purchased from a ex-racer. Maybe he will chime in.

Geesh....he posts 7 times and calls me a liar, SO I must be wrong.......
Actually guys, it was my HRCR. It wan an 86 though, not an 87. I bought white fenders for it to be different. Honestly, at the time, I didn't even know about the 87R being white. I had a few sets of fenders for it, so you will see different renditions of the bike around in pictures.
I bought the bike from a guy that lived in Warwick NY. He raced all around the country. The bike was from Ayres Honda in Middletown. I think they closed up shop over 10 years ago, but at the time, it was great to see pictures of my bike on the walls of the shop with trophies next to them. That's how I got into ice racing. When I got the bike it came with 3 sets of tires, inlcuding a set of fully studded Cheng Shins. The bike came with BOXES of extra parts...tanks, motors, carbs, reeds, sprckets, gaskets, cables, etc, etc...It kept me and my friends running for years. I paid $1600 for it all.
I have a pic of it in a race somewhere...if I can find it, I will post it.

I used to ride on the ripped up railroad tracks near 5 corners. We have also ridden behind Yellow Freight in Maybrook. Both of those places should not be too far from you. I haven't been there in a couple years, but had fun at both places.
My mother has a house in Bloomingburg so we get up there every so often. We recently went riding in Roscoe, about 1 1/2 hours west of Wallkill. That is a cool place to ride.

I believe that the 87 250R does exist....Ive been talking to a guy who used to be sponsored by Honda back when 3 wheelers were still being raced...he said that he ordered an 87 250R, but it got cancelled because it wasnt allowed across the Canadian border legally. That would tell me that the machine had to exist in order to get to the border, but thats anyones interpretation.

Used to be all for the myth but with everyone thats looking you would think the 87 R would have surfaced by now.
Maybe one day.

well guys time to call the mythbusters.
i believe there is a 87 somewhere. its probably in some old guys barn with piles of bird crap on it. i just dont think we have enough people looking. sure 3ww has allot of members but we dont have nearly enough to cover the world. it will take time but we will find one if it does exist. im saying it does we just need to find it.
