ok my 1982 Honda 185S is our starting point the rear axle is loose and slides around but I cant fine the other 2 holes for bolts . someone was telling me there are tensioner screws that keep tension on the axle nad keep it in place ? does this sound right ? oh and this is a frame up rebuild for the winter ttime here in alaska thanks

I am pretty sure it only has four bolts. two on the top are just regular bolt holes and the two on the bottom should be in an elongated bolt holt that allows the rear end to swing in/out to adjust the chain tension.

the tensioner is a bolt with a bolt hole welded to the end of it. put your bottom bolts thru it and then thru the carrier into the frame. now when you tighten the 12mm nut on the bolt it pulls the axle back to tension IF your axle bolts are loosened up
