exhaust question

i gottta 200e yamaha andd the exhaust pipe cracked right off and its really loud which is hard for when the cops sees you on the road.....makes it hard to get away :P any ideas of how to fix it...nothin expensive im only 16 and works in mcdonalds :P lol

how bad is it rust wise? do you have a welder? maybe you could weld it back together.

no i dont gotta welder its rusted but not that bad the two parts can fit into each other but they falls out when you goes over a bump

find a body shop or boat yard or some place that they use welders. talk to someone ask if they could do you a favor for a couple bucks and get it welded back together. i have the best setup with a black smith for a neighbor so he can do any sort of metal work out there with ease. my muffler had a hole in it and it welded a piece of metal over it and extended my pipe.

believe it or not, this works.... go to your local auto mechanic... see if they do exhaust work... most of the time, they have scraps of exhaust pipe left over. Find a piece that is a little bigger than the place on your pipe that broke... just cut the pipe in half lengthwise, put the 2 pieces on either side of the broken area, and use hoseclamps to draw it together....


it works... just a little confusing...
