I put some new jets and a few other parts on my carb. It runs like a bat out of well with a little starting fluid. But it only runs for a few seconds. Give me a couple ideas please.:beer :beer

air mix screw should be turned out 2 turns and the e-clip for the needle needs to be in the 2nd slot from the pointed end.
i hope it helps you out a bit. in case nobody welcomed you.... welcome to 3ww

maybe the float is not adjusted properly. try turning the fuel off and opening the drain at the bottom of the carb, then turn on the fuel and see if it leaks all over the place. If it doesn't it could be the float is staying closed.

I have the e clip on the first slot. It was running extremely rich before I worked on it. I opened the drain screw and gas ran all over. Air screw is 2 turns out. It is acting like it is not getting any gas. Should I put the air filter back on to see if it will make it run a little richer?

yea and put that clip back to the 2nd spot. it will rich it up a bit. if that dont work put that air screw up about a 1/4 turn then try it.

Put the E clip on the second slot, poured in some fresh gas, put everything back together, fired rite up.
