I have seen a few no link swingarms available. What would be the differences between these and linked swingarms and what applications would they suit?
Thanks

my 85 250r flat tracker uses a no link swinger, I made the custom mount and it uses a 200x shock, this works awesome for me for flat tracking, but for off road and motorcros a linkage system lets the suspension travel better and the shock is able to work better as well.

The "link" in the suspension makes the suspension a "rising rate" suspension. "Rising rate" means, as the suspension goes through it's compression stroke, the shock gets compressed progressively faster. This results in a suspension system that is soft over small bumps, progressively stiffer over larger ones, and stubbornly resists bottoming out.

With a "no-link" system, the shock compresses at the same rate throughout the entire stroke.
