Carbon Fiber Fenders ARE ON THE WAY!

Is there anyone else that would be willing to put money down for a front fender now, and then for the rears in a month or something? Same carbon fiber looking material as the quad stuff from Maier. Fenders will be in the $80 range, will know more when Maier gives Mosh a quote.

You'll have more success with this if you wait until after we get the shrouds. I might be willing to order a front fender but not until I see the stuff in person and make sure it's just as flexible and durable as their regular plastic. I think some of the other guys that ordered the shrouds feel the same way.

No, these are the skinny 85/86 Honda 250R front fender but they will fit the Tecate and even the 250SX.

A member has an SX fender on his fat tire Tecate and another member has an R fender on his SX so its all interchangeable.

As far as anyone that have ordered custom colour maier like louis and others they all have attested that the fenders are great quality and it is the shrouds that fit poorly.

As for the material, its seen on all kinds of quads...lets get an opinion from Scootero about the carbon nose on his Blaster...

The regular red front fenders retail at about 70-75 shipped to your door.(Just a price comparison)

I can get the carbon fiber front fenders shipped to you for $85.00
So 85 dollars will be the price.IF you order 2 fenders,You only have to pay shipping once.
So the fenders will cost you 70 each and shipping is 15 bucks.Example: 2 fenders would be $155 shipped to you.

Now the rears,are going to be pricey.Just for reference figure $240-$250 shipped on rear fenders.That will be worst case senario.Shipping is killer on rear fenders.30 bucks plus I will have to purchase the proper sized boxes to ship them in.

250R shrouds will most definitely not fit a tecate.

They aren't "based on" the 250R stuff, they "are" the 250R parts. The front fenders can be easily modded to fit several other trikes though and will actually bolt on with no mods at all on others (200x, 2nd gen 250r). There are a few members here that have 250R front fenders on their tri-z's. Never seen it done on a Tecate personally.

If the rear fenders get made after this, I don't know what besides the 85-86 250R they would fit but I know whatever it is would take some modification to make it work. I don't know how many people are going to be willing to pony up the dough to do the rear fenders anyway. Barring some kind of financial catastrophe, I'm in for some rear fenders whenever there's enough people to do it.

Maier put warning stickers on the underside of these fenders:

WARNING: Do not use lacquer thinner or solvents to clean carbon fiber film products.

WE SUGGEST: Applying clear 12 mil vinyl in heavy wear areas.

Just wanted to post that so you guys who bought the shrouds can prevent wear marks. I don't remember those stickers being on the shrouds.

HECK I got mine over a week ago. Its sitting in my lap and by looking at it I couldnt be happier! Its got no imperfections which I actually epected a few for it being just a "carbon fiber look" but its perfect.

No clue, but I got my seat recovered and back in my hands in under a week from her and my fender showed up like last tuesday or wed. I guess Tammy has magical powers :D

They have all been shipped except for dammit's. The 3 of you above that haven't gotten yours yet, I sent you pm's with your tracking info. I shipped just about all of them right away, except for 3 or 4 that the boxes I had, didn't work. Thought they would fit, but didn't. They are all out now.



By any chance mrs moshman, or whoever did the order on the carbon shrouds have any extras?

Sorry, all the shrouds are gone. Maybe we can do another run in the future. I would go for ordering a few sets myself, if we don't get another 10 for these.
