Adjuster problem

my 82 185S clutch adjuster screw wont turn. the locknut i can loosen but i cant turn the adjuster scrwew. I pulled the case off and the adjuster unit i took out of the case and it still wont turn. Plz help thanx

Might just be stuck due to it being unused.

Sounds like it's seized up in there. You'll have to try and grab it with vice grips but there isn't much meat out there to grab. If that doesn't work, you'll have to drill it out or find a used cover on EBAY. I'm sure there cheap so I wouldn't panic....

The wierd thing is before i took it apart i adjusted it a little bit then rode it and then went to adjust it again and it wouldnt turn.

i got it to turn but when it is all the way in only about a hair of threads are stickin out of inside the case so it aint gunna push that arm very much is that normal?
