My buddie is goin to give me a white bro. carbon fiber silencer if I help him tommorrow with changin a gear box and water pump in his jeep.....I saw it once and it looks almost new and was wondering since I have the power up kit in the carb and a aftermarket cobra exhaust already if it would be benfical to put it on....I think it would be relativley easy to put on with alittle modifications to the pipe off the silencer.....And it flanges the same way also......So anyway would it help any horse power or it would hurt it.....Just wonderin...thanks

P.S. its for a bigger bike like 350 and up although we dont really know what it was for.....

It'll make it loud, that's for sure. White Bros pipes are usually pretty cool, you will have to rejet and stick a K&N on there for optimum performance.

Way ahead of you.....Got me a brand new UNI- FILTER for my beast...lol

I've heard that Uni filters are sometimes even more restrictive than stock...

Oh ya will it be louder than my cobra pipe considering the new muffler will be actually for 350cc or something that size.......For example it would be like puttting a 40 series flowmaster on a 4 cylinder and comparing it to a v8 with a 40 series. Theres no comparisen to a v8 roar and 4 cylinders little a** scream....You see what im saying......

It will not be as shrill and annoying as the Cobra. Cobra pipes are THE MOST annoying and crappy sounding aftermarket exhaust, because they're really cheaply made. The White Bros silencer will be deeper and throatier, and maybe even quieter.

I agree the stupid cobra pipe sounds ratlie and annoying. It dont even sound good......I just want a nicer looking muffler with a better deeper but not so loud sound.....

I custom-fabricated a pipe for my 440 Puma snowmobile and used a Cobra megaphone for the silencer. It was the most raspy, crap sounding pipe ever.

All the Cobras I've heard have sounded like the core is about to shake itself out of the can. I don't know why, it might be crappy production quality, or maybe it's the fact that they only use a single bolt to fasten the core into the can, instead of 6 or so like FMF and all the other companies do...

The UNI will work well but it will need a rejet and I wouldn't run that airbox lid either. K+N is a great breathing filter with less restriction than UNI or OEM.

the problem with k&n is they dont do well with water and mud and they dont block as much dirt as uni. it really comes down to what you do with your trike.

Outer wears work wonders.. I have a drilled airbox with K&N and never had to clean it once. But the airbox is cleaned every few days to keep it from building up.

Heres the virdict on the White Brothers Carbon Fiber muffler......Its quite big and turned out it was for a 660 raptor so it has like a really big 2 1/4- 2 1/2 inch inlet at the area to which I plan on cutting her down, but i think it will work if I cut the pipe right before the muffler down a bit and use some standard automobile muffler clamps and fittings.....It will be great if it fits though.....Its pretty straight thru but I think if i jet it right and get it on there good it will do pretty good for what I want......I heard if I take it to a muffler shop they can make new reducers and fittings with there machines that are made to do it.....So that is probably goin to be what happens.....What sucks is im going to have to rig up some way to go from 2 1/2 to like 1 1/4 lol.....This is sure going to be trick....does anyone think it can be done.....

There's exhaust resizers that you can buy. I believe I saw some in my Dennis Kirk "Metric Bikes" catalog, Another way to do it is to make a cone shape out of sheetmetal, weld that to your headpipe, and then cut off the cone where it's at the perfect diameter to fit your silencer.

thats a good idea and I never thought of that....It could be done especially with my good Mig Welder......

Also can you even weld to stainless steel with a mig welder......Its been tig welded in the factory before but I was just wondering if it matters.....

You need to grind stainless so if there's any coating, it gets removed.

I used a 400ex pro circuit t4 on my 200x. You would need to bend a pipe for that white bros. to work. It needs to go inward to header and up to mount up decently.

how much work was done to get the pro circuit on?

I got the pipe off ebay for $40.00. As for modifying it I had to cut the header up a couple of inches, Then sacrifice a old cobra and cut the inlet off. Since the PC has a 2'' inlet, I made a cone adaptor from the cobra and welded it on. Then it pretty much slid on. Then just cut the cobra inlet in 4 places and clamped it. But you need to make a small hanger so that the mount will bolt up to the frame.

Will I have decided its more trouble than its worth atleast for me.....But I would sale it for pretty cheap if someone wants it.....It would fit a bigger bike for sure.....Thanks
