Does anyone know if you can take the YZ250 99-07 dirtbike hyrdaulic clutch system and put it on a TRI-Z 250? These systems are great and i would love to incorporate one. What do you guys think? I have tried contacting them and I havent had any responses.

If your real serious I'd get the 99-07 YZ clutch cable and test fit. Fairly safe to say that if the cable fits so will the Magura.

better yet just get a 99-07 yz motor and put it in it.. you will have to swap the the steel incerts in the cases for the swing arm bolt.. the newer bolt is smaller

Well i dont need the motor. Mine is fine. I called Magura and they tell me the cable is 39 inches long. They also tell me the diameter of the cable end is 8mm. Does anyone know the stock length and diam. of the tri-z clutch cable? The kit fits 88-07 yz250 bikes not just 90's on up

How about the distance from where the cable mounts to the shift shaft arm on the yz250?

I don't think there would be a huge difference from handlebars to clutch mounts in terms of length in most of the machines. I'd be more concerned about which side the clutch crap is on the motor itself, if it were the complete opposite side I'm sure it would need to be much longer.
Can you take a piece of vinyl tubing and do a dry run? then you'd know the length you need and as long as the cylinder fits in the mount I'd think you could run whatever you need to.

Well it looks like the yz250 cable holder is on the left side of the motor. The tri-z is more in the center of the motor behind the cylinder. Magura says that cable length problems can be solved by simply ordering there plastic line and fitting kit and making a line that you desire. Or make one yourself. Nobody is running one of these things?
