I need atleast one of them air assisted fork caps......If anyone had some for sale I'd buy them for the right kind of price.....Thanks

FYI, I believe that 83 through 87 will all fit...

No, the 83-85s are different. The olderones have a more coarse thread and are steel, the 86-87s are aluminum with a fine thread. I have 2 that are in decent shape, the seal is there and threads are fine. Has the nozzle and everything and will work good. PM me if your interested in it. Ill let it go for nearly nothing.

Was it definitely both years? There must be 85 forks on my 86 200X, they have steel fork caps but they are a bit longer than 85's?

Thats weird? The 85 forks were shorter by a inch or so than the 86s. But the internals are the same so someone could have swapped the fork tubes. I have 85 forks on mine right now and they have the steel caps. Another way to tell is that the 85s take a bigger wrench to remove the caps.
