i have a 84 200x and it has a 12:1 compression kit and runs 110 octane fuel stock exhaust. my big question is there a way to tighten up the starter gears so it starts easer? it doesnt catch till half way down and its easer to push start it with my buddys 4 wheeler than kick that compression over. i checked the valves and clean the carb what else would make this start easer and can i tighten up the gears someway or move them to catch sooner? also would the air fuel screw help any? i had some fuel filter problems but that didnt help any the plug is never wet and its a nice brown color? any help would be great!!!!:Bounce

Those gears are inside the center case. Are they slipping? Something must be worn out if it won't engage up at the top of the kicker stroke. You can't rotate the kicker on the splines any, can you?

Your SOL if you need gears and the upgrade kit is few and far between.

I won't even buy another 85 or older because of that design flaw...

They Seem To Grab But Not Sure I Guess I Could Rotate The Kicker Some To Make Up For It Butstill Wont Fix The Hard Starting Proplem Unless It Rolls The Motor Over More?
