performance boost for 200s

Are there any tips/tricks for getting more low end torque outta the 200s?

Put a bigger motor in it... In all seriousness, 200cc isn't that much to begin with. You could pull out the engine and do some mild porting, maybe find a cam, run a higer compression piston, pipe, etc. but your 200s was not really designed that way. If you find it slow, or does not have enough go-jo, you might want to sell it and find a 250SX or 350X maybe... Or, if you're into the bang, bang, snap, snap of a 2-stroke, go for a Tri-Z or 250R. I'm sure you'll find them having enough power, or maybe too much... ;)

um well the best way to get low wnd is gearing ....a smaller front and a biger rear sprocker (i think its that way. lol)

I agree with Maxflor- the 200s is what it is, ride it & love it, but for more power, PLUS rear suspension, you can't go wrong with a 250SX, ask anyone here- They're indestructible, have electric start, reverse:w00t:, auto clutch, shaft drive, AND there's many things you can do to power 'em up!

how much of a budget you have ? you can do allot with a 200. i did allot of work to mine over a period of 1 year. its got a cam, 10.25:1 wisco piston and rings, lighten flywheel (thanks to ronnie) bored 3mm, and a bigger carb . it has plenty of gitty up and go. but if you wanna really haul butt get a 250R. it all comes down to the walet size.

go too webcamshafts.com for a web cam. yes you should notice a difference. it will wake the 200 up. along with a bigger carb, after market exhaust, wisco piston, a good port job, stroker kit, lighten flywheel, and a couple other small stuff.
