A few people may have seen it on ebay, Uk item number 330146305232 . As soon as it went on i managed to buy it now for £80, so it was a good deal. I think its an 83, but it has a cg 125 engine in, which aparently is faster than the original? I'll keep that in it anyway. The plan is to get it looking alright, and mechanically sound and have it as my main bike. I've only had 70s and 110s before and it seems in a different world. Pics coming soon.

Its a 4 stroke . Out of one of these http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/bikes/250/honda/cg125.jpg
I know it looks a bit rough on the ebay ad, but its a big step up at a very reasonable price.

why don't you put a proper 200x,or 200e,200s,185 etc engine back in???? the gearing will be all wrong with that cg125 also alot slower than a standard engine....

I thought about it. It would be a possibility if one came up i guess, but i dont have a big budget. As this one is geared for the road, what will it be like to ride? Also, would any trx engine fit in, say an old trx 250 or atc 250 big red? What modding would be required? Thanks.

the big red motors 250 and such are driveshaft motors and wont work, a 185s a 200s 200x and some of the new lifan200 motors will bolt in also a decent motor is a 200sx motor (quad motor) I cant remember if it will bolt in or not, I wouldnt worry about putting in a motor in right now, just go ride!

I've thought about it, and decided to do an auto x, probably 185. So i'm now on the look out for a suitable engine. The rear plastics and tank shrouds are in really good condition, so i'll try and polish them up. I'll be putting a new or decent oem front fender on. The tank is very clean inside. Its getting new tyres all round ( what size?), new high flight seat cover ( red/black with atc on the side), black tank, new lights, new pipe. I'm going to go for a red and black look. It wont be a full on restoration, or even a really decent custom, as i dont have the time, skill or money, but i'm going to make it look good and mechanically sound. Heres a pic of it when i got it home. looks a bit rough, but i'm pleased to have something to get my teeth into.

is that blue or purple? i would go with some 20x9.5x8 turf tamers in the rear with that 185 motor that would look great!

Its sort of purpley blue houshold emulsion i think, comes off very easily! Some people eh! I'll get the tyres next week i think. Would they be good for general riding about the farm / woods type thing?
