I was checking out my 84 200s i saw some hoses just dangling around , conecting to nothing. 1 from the carbeurator.hanging down not that long goes half way to the ehaust, fully stretched. . i start it up, it starts up everything seems alright.. I guess it's normal....any comments.
the other hose is from the rear drum break, it goes all the way by the gas tank. connected to nothing??
i'm not sure, if its normal, but everything works perfect...

It might be your drain hose for your carb. It drains the gas out when you turn the valve on the carb on. No biggey. My 110 has that.

My 200x has two hoses coming out of the carb. They are drain and overlfow hoses or something -P

My tri Z has 3 hoses like that, 2 are vent lines and the other is the over flow. PS don't connect the hose to anything! On my 83 185s someone thought that the vent line was suposed to be plug into the carb. While riding it would stall and ran like crap over all since the carb couldn't vent properly.

There all vents and some for heat. Brakes heat up especially when enclosed, differentials heat up and have to let that heat out or the seals will blow. Carbs let fuel in and need vents to do that or else it's restricted.
