starts and runs perfectly until it gets a block or 2. Then it starts to sputter and die. Won't start again until it cools down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Next time it dies check for fuel and spark. Post back.
could be a stator or a fuel issue.

Check the usual stuff.
Clean the carb
Check your fuel hoses, Does the gas flow well?
Check the air filter
Inspect and Change plug

Go to www.ngksparkplugs.com and you can look up any machine. Yours is the
DE7A, gap .028 for the standard and DR7EIX, gap .028 for the iridium.

sounds like a lack of fuel, here is a possible problem, trash above the needle seat in the carb (or in the inlet to the carb) as it cools down gas trikles into the float bowl filling it full of gas, bam! starts right up and spins around for a min then as the gas is used up out of the bowl it slowly dies then sits untill more gas enters the bowl again. Making you think its a heating up and cooling down problem, take the carb APART and also put in new fuel lines as well. My gf's blaster pulled this trick I ended up buying all new stator/flywheel/coil/wire harness, only to then figure out it was a peice of trash in the carb. double check everyhting and then before you put it back together double check it again.

My Tri Moto has a similar problem. However it doesn't die, It just dosn't idle well. As long as I keep reving it dosn't shut off but as soon as I let it idle it shuts itself off and then I gotta let it cool down to start it up again. When I start it up when its cooled down it idles great.

TheGreg, that's probably a choke issue/jetting

1timkrantz, it sounds like your carb is draining faster than it can refill. Try blowing into the tank and see if you can go farther. If you can, that's your problem.

make sure the gas cap is venting.
