I'm assuming he wants a desert tank? Clarke is definitely cheaper and looks pretty much like OEM (for the 85-86 250R anyway). Clarke doesn't make desert tanks for the water cooled R's. Only IMS does.

thanks guys but non of those links show a IMS fuel tank for a 200x. i do notlike the clarke. i want an IMS tank which looks stock and uses the air scoops. i have seen a few and not sure if they are made anymore or not. yes i tried searchine for IMS fuel tanks i used MSN and yahoo. nothing came up. i tried yahoo and i found the web site.

they show every ATC but the 200X...WTF? i am gussing the 250X is what the 200x should be? 83-85.

Don't hold your breathe. I have e-mailed them a few times and they never respond. Just call them.

I would have to agree that they screwed up on their listing where 250X should probably be 200X.

FYI, My 85 200X has an IMS which I am very pleased with. The Clark may be fine for some people but frankly it doesn't compare in my opinion. The Clark has no provisions for the air scoops where the IMS has the nut inserts for the scoops. Also it uses a rubber strap for the rear mount where the IMS has the factory style rear bolted mount.
