Nice trike, just remember that in a few years the little one is now going to want a tri-zinger, to follow you around the yard with.

Don't make tell the story of how me and my 1.5 year old (at the time) flipped over on a garden tractor.
The handle that raises the deck, probably saved my kids life as it rolled over him, and I guided him under it.
I wound up down the hill, with the tractor on my back. Not a good day.
The stupid tractor popped out of gear, never did that before, on a hill. I knew if I hit the brakes, we were going over backwards, so I cut the wheel, and she turned and flipped.
My point is, you never know what can happen with your precious ones on a vehicle that can crush or kill them. And some friendly advice. I thought I was being safe at the time, going 2 mph.

LonesomeTri-z,
didn't you show a pic of you riding your kid on a quad?
wasn't the showing of that pic quickly followed with a public hanging of you by the local lynch mob?:banned:
LOL...sounds like you remember it well.....:postwhore

It is not an opinion, it is what happened. You are expressing your opinion about it, why can't I?
You have any idea now many kids fall off tractors and get killed every year? All they were doing was going out for a ride with Dad.
I am not saying not to do it, but to be extremely careful. I wouldn't want to see you learn this lesson the hard way.
I am sure you have said this may times, 3 wheelers don't kill people, people kill people.
Are you saying what I went through with my son has no meaning to it?

What I am saying is the guy just wanted to share a cute video. I am sure he is well aware of the risks. He did not ask for an example of what could happen. Hell an air plane could fall on my sons’ room. Does that mean I need to have that possibility pointed out when I put him to bed? No sense in pointing out the obvious. I get irritated when people do that. In order to live life our kids are always going to be at some kind of risk. I see no need to point it out all the damn time. I wish every one on here could just post their photographs or videos (with in reason) with out some one saying “hey that could be dangerous”.

Kinda my thoughts on wearing a helmet. I know my risk, let me take the chance.

A m e n brother. I can not stand some one telling me I should be wearing a helmet. It is my head and my brains. If I want to spill them for the world to see it is my choice.
Any way, getting back to the video. Cute kid I hope to see some more.

Yeah, the carseat actually fastenes more securely to that than any of the vehicles that I put it in. But to the concerned fellow member, I do appreciate your concern, because it is serious buisness when kids are involved.
But yeah, the point of this video was primarily for entertainment. I wouldn't do something like this if I thought there was a remote possibility of a child getting hurt. Sometime I'll have to post the one where I ride the thing solo.....now there's something to be concerned about.

Here's a direct quote from the rules!!!
All riding pictures or videos posted on the forum whether linked or attached must depict the riders wearing minimal safety gear (This means a helmet). If you post pictures of you or your friends riding without a helmet then theres a fair chance the post will get deleted. If in life or death circumstances where you absolutely positively HAVE TO post a picture of someone riding without a helmet then draw one onto them with Windows paint or similar application.

With or without a helmet?
Is she even old enough to make that decision for herself?
If you don't want to wear a helmet, thats your business. I ride without one often. I also take my kids for rides as well. But they wear helmets, and are not strapped into something that could crush them.
Why do you think there is no seatbelts on a trike, or a boat? So you can be thrown free.
I was not putting down what the guy did, just sharing my experience, so put away your cpsc hatred, and chill out (not you, the other guy)

Here we go the helmet stooges. River rat, I at least respect your intentions. I just did not want to see this thread turn into a debate. I am pretty sure the thread starter feels the same way. But Chris, who the hell are you to open your mouth? Go back and trespass some where or something.

This is exactly why stuff like this shouldn't be posted on the forums. Lonesome I won't stoop to your level so I'll keep my comments to myself. Feel free to pm me your thoughts!
yes she had a helmet on, and yes she wanted to go for a ride (shes 7) the only thing that could have made me wreck with here, if a nuclear missle hit us, oh you say "you could blow a tire out!" (negative all my tires are nice and hold air very well) "your motor could seize and you could flip!" (nope im not a *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**E dited*, I would have instantly pulled the clutch in) "you could run into a tree!"( I SURE COULD!! if I was stearing towards it!) Louis is right if were adult enough to make the decision we can ride without helmets on, Chriss I like ya man, and the site as well but those rulz are CRAP! this isnt a kid site, were all adults here (for the msot part) I ride with my helmet on most of the time, but on ocasions I ride without it as well, and sometimes there are some sweet pics with peeps without helmets, IF YOU GUYS WANT TO ARGUE AOUT SOMETHING PM RANDOMSTRIKE!

No, you have a hard time keeping things straight. I'll send you a message trying to be friendly and you will take it as an insult. I have no interest in that.
I apologize rocksoup for the video/picture nazis that busted on the parade, I enjoyed the vid!

I'm back on dialup right now so I can't view the video, but if its of someone riding without one, then next time, please make sure that the video or picture posted has the people riding wearing something. Thats a pretty nicely asked and simple request, I'd ask that the original poster and the other members of the forum respect that.

Wow didnt realize this turned into .ORG. Lonesome Chris was citing a rule which all must follow if you want to be on the boards and you attack him with the trespassing BS which few members know how truly bogus the situation is (I do so back off). I know what your saying about people coming in and ranting 'Get your helmet on, what if the CPSC sees this!" yes it gets annoying.
Guys dont turn this into .ORG, Go there and type at each other in the right forum

I am not getting into the things I have against Chris right now. But what I will say is the fact that he jumped in (as he often does) and once again inflamed the situation. I was hoping we could just settle this thing down and not ruin the guys thread.

Judging from your first post lonesome. It seems to me that you were the first one to start crap in this thread (like you usually do) NOT me. I was just stating a fact about the rules. Am I the only one here who sees why stuff like this should not be posted on the forums? :wondering
You were the one who started with the helmets and whatnot not me.

I have always been cool with you until you started with me *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**E dited*. My first post in this thread was to try and stop this snow ball effect. But of course, you do not see thing as they realy are.
