4 gal ims or clark tank, (i think the IMS's look better) with a 6 pack rack (they make one that are specifically designed for small gas cans) youll have some pretty serious range.

Yeah, I used an "enduro bottle" on my ATC 70/110 project when I didn't have a gas tank, it was a bottle of 75/80 gear oil with a fuel line stuck in it and a hole poked in the top to breathe LOL. Might not be enough for you to make it home though...
Dammit!

Jesus. With a 4 gallon IMS tank, a 6-pack rack with a gas can on it and one of those handlebar tanks you could go some serious distance.

Dammit, did you read about the Paris-Dakar Banshee? ATV Action 200, April issue. Had custom fabbed aluminum tank that held 11 (!) gallons of fuel...

Well, you don't have a rack so you'd have to improvise something like what was mentioned above. For me, if I'm going for an all-nighter woods run on my 250ES Big Red, this is what I bring:
I slap a full 5-gallon gas can on the back rack, and use a ratchet strap on it. Since I have a toolbox on the Big Red I also have 2 ratchet straps, 20 feet of rope, some assorted emergency tools, Deep Woods OFF, and a first aid kit always with me every time I ride. I also strap my Glock 9mm on my hip, and the Remington 870 12ga is mounted on the rear of my rack behind the gas can. I pretty much leave prepared for anything on night rides. A lot of things can go wrong out in the middle of the woods and it's best to have whatever you may need.
If it isn't going to be nighttime and you aren't going to be in the deep woods, then my list is probably a bit overboard for you. I live in the boonies so I leave the house very equipped. :D

If I'm in the woods at night on my trike, it's pretty hard to piss me off. :w00t:

I'll usually carry a 6.5" Ruger Super Single Six revolver loaded with .22lr or .22WMR for coons. I have shot a few with the Glock though. The shotgun is overkill on them. That one I keep stoked with 00 buckshot in case I come across a deer or a loony person.
Mostly the Glock and the Remington shotty come with me in case I need more potent firepower for a bigger animal or a person/people. When you're on an ATC you're pretty vulnerable so it's good to have some protection in case you run into some psycho out in the middle of nowhere. My Ruger has netted me plenty of small game over the years...from coons to rabbits to squirrels.

Man, you live in Oregon and have never hunted squirrels? What do you guys hunt up there? You aren't one of those PETA nutcases are you?

I run a spare tank for a snowmachine. Three gallons and it looks sharp. Check the link to my 250SX for the pictures.
