How hard is it to wheelie with a plus 3 swinger compared to stock length on '85 250r? Anyone with any experience in this area?

I've seen Ronnie (yamahondaman) go up crazy high on his tri-z with a 12+ swinger!

HA HA !!! whats cool is if the Geometry of the bike is right with Traction pending on the density of the dirt or sand your on .... YES .. it wheelies NICE !! much BETTER on Whoop's and holds the front end down better when you race other people ...

With the extended swingarm, say 3", how much different is it on the trails when when you want to "zig-zag" and get around tighter trails?

i'll say YES!!!
with my +6 and relatively stock motor(check my sig for details),
4th gear wheelies, no problem.
it jumps TOTALLY different,
and as far as zig-zags, lean forward and hit the gas.
it spins around alot quicker(dumped it a couple of times getting used to it, LOL).
hope this helps

Well I have a few extra swingarms, I think I'll send one out soon to a board member who pmed me. I'll go +3 and see how I like it. Does anyone know if Derricks 450 has the stock swinger? I have a 450 yamaha, I want to try and stuff that in one of my Zs. I wasn't able to find the thread with his build info, can someone post a link? I will keep looking in the meantime.

My SX has a +3 swingarm and still pulls wheelies easily if I want it to.

It's all in the gearing my friend....... I'd say with 12/41 gearing that puppy should point towards the sky when you need it too......
