Did 83 have a steel swinger? If so, it would be easy to extend....
One already built may be hard to find, but there are certainly better air cooled experts on here than myself.

Yes they where steel and also 83-84 are the same.
but the shape of the actual swinger makes it harder to jsut cut and weld a piece back in as the 83-84 swinger is more rounded in style then the 85/86 models, I want te extend mine, but I want it done extrmemly nice.

Are they??? The '83 has an almost horizontal shock that was used for only one year and then Honda redesigned the geometry and raised the angle of the shock. I don't know if the swingers are the same. Maybe Honda just changed the linkage to adapt the new shock angle.
I know that the frames are NOT the same.

If there is some one who can extend an arm for $100 then jump on that because that wont even cover powdercoat.

100 wont cover powdercoat on a swinger?! WOW! im glad I dont live anywhere near you! 100 here would get your swinger and almost e verything else besides the frame done.

Well then I would like to know what kind of "powder coat" you guys are getting. 100 dollars doesnt go far when you want nice quality work or in this case nice quality powder coat on your parts. But if you guys have a place where you can get it for cheap and the quality is something your happy with then you did good and should stay with that place. Seeing how a set of 86 250R wing stickers will cost you $50 then I would say alittle over a $100 for powder coat on swing arm isnt all that bad, but thats just me.
no its high quality, and cheap, but this place is extremely large, they could powdercoat a school bus if they wanted to.
