Too bad that Google compresses them so much. It kills the quality

So cool watching videos from about 1/2 mile from my house!

I love doing the circle tracks, only thing is, I have been doing it on a 110, and beating people, lol !!

This year will be slightly different

I have hours and hours of this stuff.....pretty boing after a while....

On Google, you can track how many times your videos were viewed. My first 6 reached a combined 45000 views since Feb 2006....not bad for a year and change...

Anyway here are the latest two additions.....

Hey riverrat, tell me more about beating people with this 110? I'm kind of curious to hear more about that trike and what all you have in it and how it is set up.

Hey riverrat, tell me more about beating people with this 110? I'm kind of curious to hear more about that trike and what all you have in it and how it is set up.

Except for this year, I did nothing to it. It even had the original tires on it. The people I beat where people with similar machines, and four wheelers up to 250cc's.

If I was to go against someone like Chris, I would get my pants blown off, because not only does Chris have a well set up, and fast bike, he also knows how to ride. I can see it in his videos. I believe if we had similar machines, that it would be an awesome race.

There are those that can ride, and those that can ride, if you know what I mean. Just look at that quad in his latest videos, those guys do not look like they are anywhere near being on the edge.

His earlier videos, against the banshee? those guys looked like they knew how to ride, and Chris still blew them away. A testament to how good his bike really is. If I do one specifically for the ice, I am hoping to copy exactly what he did.

This past year, I added a cobra pipe, new tires, and added some methanol to the gas. I was able to wind it out in fourth gear high, something I never did before. It must have been going over 50, very fast for that bike (110). I raced my friend on a 700, on a circle a bit larger than the one in Chris's video, and he could only lap me every 4-5 laps. He had studs, and I did not. Not that I really need them at the speeds I was going. Once the track gets chewed up, you get quite a bit of grip.

Put it this way, 4th gear in low, was not enough gear for the track. I would shift between 2-3 in high range. Probably doing 35-40 at the end of the straight. Maybe I could have gone faster with studs, I don't know.

It's all about energy conservation, and not scrubbing speed off in the turns. Exiting just right, gives you a good run, and you can open it up sooner.

I'll try to make some videos this winter.

Yep, Chris D can really throw the R around. Awesome to watch and listen to. Thats years of experience and knowhow. Along with some raw natural talent. When a trike is at full lock on the verge of spinout, with throttle pinned, it's one of the coolest things in motorsports. Ive never had the nuts to push it that hard, and especially at those speeds. Spectacular!!

Tecat-z, the cool thing about the 250 Tecate is that after a plus +2 swinger and +5 axle is that it will actually spinout rather then flip on hardpack if you have the right lean. I've done 5th gear high speed spinouts and its rushy to say the least.

Chris can ride and you have to remember his is a 330 and fully studded/lowered for nothing but ice racing. Super Sweet!!!

Blaaa....anyone can do what I do with some practice. Close your eyes and pin it....then hold on tight!!!

The more recent additions to video are older. Everyone is much faster today. They kept elevating their game as we "one-uped" each other. Now, it is very competitive. The new 450s are sick!!! I would buy one, but the last thing I need is another bike so I continue to dump money into my ol' reliable R. I like it, it scares me, and is a ton of fun to ride.

All of the old videos (most recently posted) are actually my FTZ 250 motor. Only the videos with the 450s in it are with the 330. I got the 330 after my races with the Banshees. I wanted to embarass them bad!! I'm glad I invested in a bigger motor, the new 450s are sometihng to beat. I hope to do well this year against them, if the lake freezes. We haven't had a good chance to race in the past 2 years. Hopefully this winter will be better.
