My 85 tri-z was getting oil in the antifreeze, but for some reason it wasn't getting much antifreeze in the oil. The cranckcase oil wasn't very milky at all. Now that I changed the seal for the waterpump it seemed fine for about 2 minutes. Then after riding it for a while it started blowing oil out of the crankcase breather tube. It was running a bit crappy before all of this started. Is it possible that it could be the crankcase seal on the clutch side? Is there anyway for oil to make it in the anitfreeze without antifreeze getting in the oil. I am thinking that if the oil is blowing out of the crankcase that there would have to be compression getting in there somehow. Its not lean so I don't think it would be the stator side crank seal. Anyway, any info would help.

Thanks Denn

I would definately suspect a right side(clutch cover side) bad crank seal.

I know hardly anything about the tri-z's, but is it possible its not gear oil and maybee 2-stroke oil getting in from a bad head gasket? Just a thought.

if it was the crankcase seal like moshman said, it would be building up pressure in the gear box causing problems...
