heres a few more.the ones where i am wearing the blue thor gear is friday afternoon when i was feeling pretty comfortable.thats also when i broke the swinger in half flat landing that 45' table.i didn't feel as good during the actual mx races because my swinger was 2 inches shorter.thats why i rode kinda easy, but anyway, enjoy the pix

You aren't kiddin Derrick...After I finally found the rear brake pedal (I run mine below the footpeg height, and brandons is above) I really got use to it and it felt awesome. The suspension on it is amazing for being pretty stock. I wouldn't have even tried the big table on my R and I was pretty close to clearing it on his.

haha, can't wait for ya to come back down josh.i got me a new houser swinger, but it is a -1 from stock.thats 3 inches shorter then i am used to,we'll have to see how it works out.my shock is mush stiffer now too.

billy those pics are sweet too.i am glad you got to spend some time on my bike.i know once you got comfortable you really "gave her the beans"that was a nice piece of ridin!!!!

i don't think there are any good side shot to show how high i was.i would guess 12-15 feet off the top of the table, and it was aprrox. 40-45' long.very fun jumpi actually flat landed it a few times, and even once during the second moto.had it been dry,i would of loved to clip that downhill, and that 60' double after it.

Brandon - You are the man in the air!!!! I love the way you climb all over that R when it is way up the air. I was wondering why/how your bumble bee stickers were all wore out being placed way up front on the shrouds - but after seeing these pictures I know why. here is one I like of me. thought I would add it to your thread. Nice photos -& I love using that new Canadian catch phrase too - ya know - you were really givin' her the beans in most of those pictures!

Tim that is a very nice photo man.i like it,you can see the underside of the bike, and your focused on the landing, good pic,and good form sir!!!

i like looking at these pics,or like having them taken simply for the fact that you don't always realize where your at on the bike,or howfar you got the bars turned,or how "flat" the bike was.i like to see that stuff.the first thing i look at,are feet.where are you feet at,and how your conteracting the bikes position with your body.also, fingers,if you look at someones fingers,do they have the clutch in,is a finger on the front brake.,etc.

i guess i just love pics, lol.i know mike got some good ones.i wish we had video from when we were down there just playin the night before.man,me,dusty, and josh, and the guy on the wr450-z were fire-n that thing up.i know i flat landed it once, and almost landed on the takeoff of the step up.way over shot it.thats what broke my swinger...anyway,add pics to this guys,i wanna see everybody's cool pics

I'm saying he can definitely improve. Not saying they were bad. A good amount of them were "good" but not all of them were "great". After seeing him at TF inspired me to get a nice camera of my own. I purchased a model that is a couple hundred dollars cheeper, but basically the same stuff only I'm sure his has high frame rate and higher resolution. I haven't had my camera for a year yet but I know what all is involved in getting the correct shot. Not saying I'm better or anything but before I start calling myself a professional I am going to do some free work to build up my skill. It is nice that TF has someone that isn't riding and is always out taking pictures, but if I am going to pay $10 per shot I sure as hell want a spectacular picture, AND the RAW file. I would classify him as an amateur photographer. Right now I am an amateur photographer because I do not have the $1699 D200 body, nor do I have a whole array of expensive lenses, and also the fact that I still have a lot to learn. I have some work in the BUTLER COUNTY PA tour guide, and I am gonna send some to the local flashlight drags too.

What that post really meant was good job and I'm sure you will get better if you keep practicing. It seems like some of his shots aren't exposed correctly, some aren't focused too great, and some just have a WB that I wouldn't used in that type of shot.

Not negative at all there doggy! :D

I don't think ANYONE can "take such pictures" but I HAVE taken such pictures and anyone who knows how to properly use a digital SLR camera can take such pictures. You guys are getting me all wrong, there are a lot of great pics that he took, they just aren't what id pay $10 a shot for.

Mike_Ham_250R
07-14-2007, 07:01 PM
the huge red oval across the middle of every pic really isn't necessary.

Exactly. If you wanted to get a version without that big red oval you have to pay $10 and all you get is a 8x10 sheet of photo paper with it on. If they were even worth $10 a shot I would want that RAW picture file and the shot as well. I think Mike the "picture taker" should stop being a complete a** and let people have the pictures just so they aren't full size.

Mike Ham - put up or STFU - show up next year with your camera if you want to talk smack and put down Mike "the PHOTOGRAPHER" - why don't you leave here and go play on your Mustang Forum or better yet - why don't you and Random-Strike go play in your sand box.

You need to get the heck out of here man. Nobody asked you how you felt about Mikes pics. Have you ever even shot photos at an mx event, or woods race? Mikes camera hadnt even taken the picture of one bike before another was on top of him.

great pics. everyone,i love looking them over.

the red oval is not just people can't have their pics,it's a form of advertisment.it is nessecary.it lets you know where you can find more great shots......motolenzphotos.com

i do know after t.f. mike sent his main camera back to olympus to have them adjust the white base.he said they had a green tint he couldn't get out.i thought they looked great.i guess maybe mike knows a little bit about this stuff :wondering

FOR THE LAST TIME,,, I am not talking *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* about him!

Please don't compare me to Random-Strike LOL.

Another point that I was stating is why not put the logo in the bottom or top corner so its not ruining the image. His strategy by placing it in the center is not to advertise but to make money because to get a picture thats not ruined by that oval you have to pay $10 to him.

He EVEN went so far to MAIL me a CD containing EVERY picture of me. (about 12 in all) I didn't have to brow beat him either....just asked nicely. I bought 4 pics @ $10 each, and he GAVE me all the rest. I think that is a good deal. Each pic is around 5.5mb-6mb....WAY large enough for POSTERS or to crop any way I see fit. Did you ASK for the original file? Did he REFUSE to give it up? Not bashing, but just giving another side of this. keep up the good work Mike. No complaints here. :beer
