OK guys,
Got the R registered ect.. last week and took her out for a ride this afternoon.
We took off and everything was going good for a while,I was following my stepson and grandson(42/16)On a Raptor 660 and a Polaris 400 4x4 so it wasnt a kiddy ride lol!
Here in Minnesota your suspossed to ride in the ditch, well seems no one else has been rideing all summer, the weeds and trees ect.. were almost as tall as we were on our wheelers,we couldnt see what was comeing?
We were just trying to get to the main trail to ride but the trip there was a killer!
We were making our own trails I guess but I was watching the way the guys ahead were leaning and stuff so I knew which way to lean?
I kept getting pulled in the ditch,no matter how much I leaned ect.. I would end up going down :0(
I rolled her 3 times,I have been rideing trikes for a long while but this ride kicked my a**!!!!!
My tire pressure was good,my front tire needs replacing but theres plenty of tread,it was like I had no control????
I have a bad back and arthritis and really like to stay up right lol!!!
Am I expecting to much from my R?
Ive been through worse on a 200M with no trouble!
What can I do to fix this???
Thanks for the help guys!!!!

Leaning on a fourwheeler, and leaning on a three wheeler, are two different animals.

There are times when you need to fight the machine, and there are times when you are just a passenger, and need to roll with the machine.

Trick is knowing the difference. But I say, if they made, you should have too.

maybe a wider axle or wheel spacers may help you a little, also if that is the pic of your trike on your avatar pic, i would get rid of those soft balloon tires that may have something to do with it, i would put a flat profile tire on it if possible (razr, razr2, holeshot gncc, holeshot xcr would be good choices) maybe a smaller tire size as well either a 20 or a 22 would be all the bigger i would go., i would think the items i listed would help and i hope it does if u decide to try them, hope this helps you out a little.

Thanks guys!!
I usually dont have a problem keeping her upright but with the weeds so high and thick I couldnt see what was coming so preparing was about impossible, there were stumps and rocks even trees lol!!!!
I was wanting new tires and was thinking about a flat profile tire,I will look around locally and see what I can find!
I also have been looking for a axle or hub spacers,Im always broke when I see them on Ebay but I will keep looking.
I cant hardly move today,I went out and looked and she is still in one piece, didnt tear, crack anything, just my pride lol!!!

300EX wheel hubs with +1" offset wheels and stock 400ex tires. The hubs will add about an inch of width. The 400EX tires are great low profile tires and slide better on a trike then a holeshot/razr type tire.

If you push down on the rear of the trike does it feel like a spring? Just bounces back?? If so your shock needs a rebuild, replacement. You push down and it takes a second to fully rebound then its find, you should be able to hear the oil swooshing as you cycle the shock.

The balloon type tires are definately hurting you.

Another thing to consider is that you might be too big for the small early R. If your 6 foot and 200lbs then your likely too big for that machine. Time to upgrade to a liquid R or 350X.

Hey thanks BigGreen!!
I shouldnt have to much problem finding the tires and hubs but the +1" offset wheels will be harder since I dont know the lug pattern of the stock R wheels much less the 300EX lol???
I have to try and get stuff used since I dont have much $,what brand should I look for ect???
I am 5'9 or so and weigh about 186,I hope thats not going to be an issue,I really like my R :wondering
I was wondering about my rear shock but didnt know how to test it,it works like you said it should thank God,one less thing to buy lol!!!!
Well heres a pic' of me playing around in the yard the other day,do I look to big lol????
(Also,my seat is rigged,83 pan and 400 Sport trax cover and pad,I would be sitting higher with a stock seat).
Thanks again!!

Hey you look fine on it man!

Stock 400ex/300ex/86200x hubs are all the same and are 4/110. Some stock 400ex wheels and tires would be fine along with that too.

Douglas makes the offset wheels.
