he guys im new here
a little about my trike i bought it in the early 90's for $50
complete minus the electrical system
so i bought a whole brand new system
first flywheel came magnet was broke sent it back
got the second flywheel the magnet broke after
a summer of riding the best was when my rod
seized i couldn't find the problem then i found out the intake
had tons of cracks in it so thats what killed my rod
this all happened after i put an after market rod in
2 rods later its all good
engine was completely rebuilt
now i have questions what parts can you still get at the dealer?
i have the microfiche i have all the part numbers and microfiche reader
and who still makes after market stuff for the 85's
as for extend swing arms what brand's were there?
thanks Ron
and if you want to know what sixpackrt stands for i have a 70 Coronet R/T 440+6

I know you can't get an intake boot.
Maier makes plastic. Rims, chains, sprockets, reeds, cables, bearings, and maybe a grab bar are available.
Westcoast , Cal-fab, and durablue made swingarms.

It's so kool finding these old trikes. Looks like she's seen some hard times. Noticed the welded up cylinder. It's kinda of a neat thing when someone takes an abused old girl like this that has so many stories to tell and gives it love and attention once again. Those kind of rescues are the best.!!

Those rear hubs are curious. Almost look to me like someone has cut down stock 85 hubs to fit a smaller bolt pattern wheel.
That or they are aftermarket...

That is one gnarly scar right there!
So your going to restomod this Tecate of yours? Lots of great mods available for these Tecates. You'll be grinning ear to ear when it runs and takes you sailing down the street for a test ride.

Oh and since your 18 inch fast trekker tires are rotted and you have 8 inch wheels already I'd recommend these tires.

Right on, lets see some pictures. Under social groups in the top toolbar we have an 84/85 Tecate group if you want to join there for ideas on your build. I can't wait to see some progress pics.
