Anyone know if there is a way to switch the twist throttle over to a thumb on an 87 tecate and if there is a company that makes one that will work for it?
Does anyone have a front disc brake for sale for an 87 tecate?
anyone know where i can get an extended axle for the 87 tecate? or have one for sale or trade?

I think durablue makes a tecate axle. I remember seeing a nice tecate with a +4? axle on here a while ago. I they said it was 50'' wide. I misread and though you wanted a twist, not sure about thumb, but i think you could make one fit off another trike/atv. I got a cr80 twist to fit perfectly on my 200x.

The Tecate 4 Durablue Eliminator 2+2 fits the 86/87 Tecate. Since the Tecate 4 axle is narrower then the T3 you will need the +4 to gain 2 inches width.
You also must use a RAD locknut since the two stock locknuts won't fit.
Corey sprock makes a billet thumb throttle to fit the T3, contact him TriTecate350 here on the boards.
Also a Suzuki Z400 thumb throttle and cable will bolt up and work. I have the cable and a new thumb throttle on the way to test out.

Are the owners manuals still available for the 86/87 tecates?

Ebay it, I see them on there. Best bet is to pick up a cylmer manual for it.
Have any pics?

I have a thumb throttle on mine and it says Yamaha. Sorry, don't know what kind, but one would think lots of them would work.
