hey everyone...i was wondering what the value of my 1984 honda HRC 250R is? it needs both calipers, front master cylinder, air filter, edges of rear fender are broken off, runs good, i just rebuilt the carb rebuilt/cleaned the fuel system. i am selling it and i have it for $700.....is that about right?

Personally I think that is too high.Maybe $500 but,If someone really wants a 3 wheeler thats is a good price.I have bought 3 84 250rs for less then $500.One was $350 and had everything but a bad frame.Seeing how your missing the brake calipers,That is gonna hurt the sale. But,if that what you want for it.Hold out and see what happens. You never know.Good luck with the sale.

well i have all the calipers etc, but they are just siezed up. it also has a full aftermarket DG exhaust pipe if that would change the value any. ( i was told the pipe cost like $400?? )

I think the person is mis informed on the DG price.

There is no way a DG exhaust costs that much new!You have been misinformed.

Member Huffa just bought that really nice 300r with all the parts for around a grand. It is a tough marked for those bikes not complete or looking pretty decent.

alright, so what do you think is a decent asking price for it? and i will get a pic showing that it is an HRC 250R.........because i have no idea the signifigance of it or how rare it is? or if it is just some decal someone put on.

i paid like $350 for an 84 that i got in good shape. It looked good, had everything with it, ran good, but there is a shim missing in the tranny so it wont shift past 2nd gear. Not to be an ass but $700 is WAAY too much. I would think it is worth about $200-$250.

Just a decal. This trike isn't rare at all.

Its not THAT bad, definately has potiental. Just looks kinda dusty and faded. I think you could get $400 easy, maybe even $500 if your a good talker.

I sayin your only goin to get $250-300. when i had mine i had it in great shape and almost a complete other bike and got a grand for it. You might be better off parting it out on ebay....thats my 2 cents.

Why kill another trike?

To possibly save five more

that isn't an HRC trike...unless there has been some crazy port work and the trike was put back to stock... I think you just have a trike with some fancy stickers.

$200-300 tops! I see you forgot to mention the frame is mangled back by where the grab bar mounts. I had 2 84's that I bought for $500 each(really too much) in running/riding condition. I put all the best parts on 1 and sold it on Ebay for $550 and sold off the rest of the parts. I know I came out a few 100 short of the grand I had into them. Thet don't seem to bring big money unless they are mint.

well what do i look for to see if it is an HRC trike? and what exactly does it mean? i know it stands for honda racing corp/company or whatever

I sold and regret selling my 83 R it had a basani pipe/silencer, DG head, +3 axle, and still wore 2 nice good year knobbies for 700. Since yours needs a frame IMHO and doesn't really look like its near ready for the trails i can't see it getting over the 400-450 mark, TC...

well the lowest i wanna take for it is $400....i dont really see how it needs a new frame to be able to ride it cause it looks/seems fine
