Well, since you can't get it apart, I would think there's something wrong with it. Glad to see you're making progress on the auto-x though! Right on my brother!

On the front master cyl. Did you take out the snap ring that holds the piston and sping inside the master cylinder ? Once you removed that snap ring all you will need is some compressed air. But if that is still in there you will be smashing your brain in for nothing.

This will do it,,,You will need a new piston after.

Drill a hole in the center and thread a self taping bolt in there. Then pull like holly hell.

Edog is right. I've always heard to blow the pistons out with compressed air. I've rebuilt 3 of them now and tried everything you have (soaking). Drill as close to center of the piston as you can get. It's not too hard to find center because the piston is concave in shape. I usually tap a 1/4 - 20 hole and then use a slide hammer to pull the piston. Rebuild kits are still available. I buy my rebuild kits from Dennis Kirk. Last one was $32. Make sure you clean the inside of the cylinder well. With a piston seized that bad, there will be a noticable ring in that area of the cylinder. You'll be fine doing it the way Edog mentioned. Worst case scenario, if thet doesn't work, drill a hole in the backside of the cylinder and tap using pipe threads and drive that puppy out. Let us know how it works out for you.
