View Full Version : Question for Syko or anyone who knows airfoolers

im needing to find a rear brake caliper and rotor for my 84 250 r mine as of now does not have one and dont even have the thrust arm on the swinger but i bought a new swinger and the thrust arm off of ebay, but i need a caliper and rotor now and possibly the caliper mount that goes on the axle. i was hopeing you knew where i could find one or where i could buy one. thank you very much.

well a 200x caliper will work, I cant remember if the disc will work though, 83-85 200x mind you. that info just broadens your search area, I dont have any more 200x stuff any more, other wise I would hook you up. ebay is the best place, sometimes you can find one that dosnt work for next near to nothing and get a rebuild kit to repair it since they are still available

so a 83-85 200x caliper will work and mount up just a a 250r one will?? and just find a 250r rotor and mounts?

yep! like I said im not sure about the disc man the caliper is actually 1 part number off in the catalog for 83-84 R and 200x's

Also a front caliper works on the rear but you will need a rear caliper mount, in my opinion that's the best way to go if you don't want a parking brake, it will eliminate the need for a parking brake block of plate. My bike has a front caliper in the rear I will post pics as soon as i get a chance:)

ya know I was jsut thinkin that! I was like hmmm..... the front is the same is the rear except without the brake sweet! good deal!
