v-force reed question

i just baught a 12 pedal v-force reed cage for my 86 250r. anyone have any experiance with them? i know they are not made anymore but would like some feed back.

When I bought my bike it was jetted wayyy too rich, I bought smaller jets and V-force reeds (had stock reeds). When I changed the reeds I actually had to jet it up. So if you do get them be aware you will probably have to go up on your main jet alot. V-force reeds seem to run great for me.

Yea I think that may be the older stage 3 system.. I have the stage 2 and mine is the 8 pedal system ( 2 on top and 2 on bottem for a total of 8) ... It does work great, for your application being a 310cc you should be fine, will need to jet up the carb, also what size carb your running makes a difference too. Overall great systems IMO

With that carb and reeds system your gonna SCREAM! I recommend just get it all together, then run it WIDE OPEN.. kill it, check the plug and go from there. Rather then get a guess on a jet size, run it like that and do it the old fashioned way and determine which is best

haha yupp thats usually how i do it or just listen to the sound of the engine and how it respond to bliping the throttle. i still have to jet for some HP in a bottle to.

haha yea you can't just say "hey lemme try this jet first" have to do it the right way
