I'm having one hell of a time trying to find a cable/thumb throttle setup for my 310R. It had a twist on it and since it got a 40.5 pwk on it the cable for the twist is too short (the housing is too long) I tried an 85 250R cable with a thumb throttle but it only opens the carb 1/2 way. I have no idea what combo to use or what cable i need. I really really rather have a thumb throttle but right now id be happy to have a foot powered throttle  .

do you have the "85-89" Thumb ?

I JUST found that thread where you mentioned that ronnie. The only 85-89 thumb i have is on my 85 R project and is totally rebuilt like new so i really rather not steal it. The thumb i have is a 350x looking throttle. You gotta an extra 85-89 youd be interested in selling at trikefest? :D

i have an 85 motion pro cable. The "85" motion pro cable has the threads on the carb end like i need for the 40.5 carb and i think itd work if i had the right throttle. Whats it going to take to get that throttle off of you? :D
