so what would you recommend
the guy i bought the bike from told me he put a high compression piston in my bike and a larger carb but i really dont believe him other than i can tell the top end is from an 81-82 250r and i have an 83
it has a red head and jug on a black block

so who knows

It wouldn't be a high compression piston..........maybe a reshaped head or something. I would run premium pump at the least.

It depends on how much compression you're getting. I run 100LL aviation fuel. Works great for me.

im getting 130psi with a compression tester and the tester had a slow leak

you can run 87 octane with that compression.

lower octane = more power.

I run VP C12 but I run 225lbs compression

The manual for the 81-84 recommends using 92-100 octane leaded fuel, also the compression pressure should be 156 + or minus 14 psi.

ok and the compression is read by how many kicks?

and i also did it on a cold engine i know its supposed to be done on a warm engine to get proper compression

Depends what sort of gas the ignition timing is set for,or are you going to set the ignition timing to the type of gas your going to use !

well i just figured out that i dont have the right carb and i know by looking at the mauals for the 85-86 250r and 350x that i dont have thos either
so o dont know what i have and what floats to order

also i did the compression check wrong as i stated before i did it cold and i also forgot to open the throttle wot so it is higher than i stated

What about for the average 4-stroke 200cc trike? I have always wondered what I should be putting when I fill up... My trike is ALL STOCK.

Any thoughts?
