im having problems finding atermarket parts for my 83

when i bought the bike the guy told me when he had the top end rebuilt he put a high compression piston and a larger carb on it but like most people i want to be faster

is there any aftermarket expansion chambers for my bike?

aftermarket extended swingarms?axles?

i also knowticed after riding it more that if i let go of the bars it pulls to the right and the bike seems to be leaning is it possibly a bent swing arm?

also where do i buy a complete carb rebuild kit including floats?

thanks i just really want to know what all the options i have with this bike

dg makes a pipe for sure, maybe others. Get a set of good carbon fiber reeds, k+n filter no airbox, large carb (alky?). the most important is the porting!!!!few ideas for ya. any of the builders can make you a swinger

Do you check the pressure in your tires? May be it is the reason why he pull to the right.

there are tons of options man!! dg still currently makes a new pipe for these bikes, witch the stock pipe is highly restrictive, get a pipe and up the carb size to a stock 85-86 250r carb and that will wake it up as well, as for reeds just a regular set of boysen reeds will do, leave the airbox on there and add a uni air filter, get someone to help you and rejet the carb, make sure your tires have the correct pressure in them, also if your clutch is worn out it will cause alot of your engine slowness becouse it could be slowing the machine down, maybe is adjusted to tight

also one fork tube could be little taller than the other causing your front wheel to sit kindy crooked making it pull, my flat track R stears to the left alittle, but I just gas it and GO!

most commonly its the tire pressure or worn bearings in the rearend

well i know that my front shock tubes are in the wrong place they stick past the triples about and inch and als how can i tell if my bearings are bad i get no play out of them no rocking at all
could it be a bent swinger? or sub frame?

The bike could have tumbled down a hill and twisted the swinger, it's not too uncommon.:wondering

The left tire is bigger... and the sub-frame appears tweaked...

Are those tires the same age? I have Nankangs on my trike, I replaced one of them and even with the same pressure in both of them, the newer one is taller than the old one.

I love the sound of an old school aircooled pinger.
