is the a difference between stators on 85s that have the stamping 7DY and 6DY
are they an interchangable part?

i knowticed in the manual it states that the nd stator should have 50-200 ohms
and the mitsu should have 250-400 ohms

ihave the nd and mine reads 125 ohms but between the coils it reads 1.9 ohms and spec for that is .5-1 ohm

is mine really that bad or is this a miss print and should it really be between 210-240 ohms between the bl/r wire and ground?

The thing about ohms specs, they are very dependant on the meter being used.

Most of those honda manuals were written using older analog multimeters. The newer digital meters apply a different voltage to the coil.

The only way I have found to really know, is to compare to a working one of the same type using the same meter. Then you have a better reading,

I would think that if the part numbers were different, there's a reason for sure.
